My I Suggest Giveaway Hop!!

Hey ya'll so there is a new blog hop is underway and this month it's for a book that is AH-MAZ-ING.
There are so many books that fall into this category and sadly I can only choose one. So for this giveaway lets do Sweet Evil by:Wendy Higgins in honor of her new Book Sweet Reckoning coming out this past week.

This is seriously one of my favorite series. I am madly in love with Kaidan Rowe and love the chemistry between him and Anna. Plus this book has such a great mix of some dang good paranormal romance and a great message about being true to your beliefs and not wavering from your feelings for those you love.
The world of Nephilim, evil demons, and angels will leave you begging for more, and you won't be able to stop reading till you have your hands on all 3 installments of  the series.

Hope you enjoy the book and be sure to keep up with the blog, giveaways almost every month and reviews and cover reveals for some of the most popular new books. plus a few other things here and there.

Sweet Reckoning By: Wendy Higgins

Holy freaking cow!!!!! Words can not describe this book. It literally made me feel all the feels lol.
What a way to end a series, it was absolutely perfect. And I have to say I am a little sad to see it finally finished. I almost wanted to delay reading it to make it last a bit longer, but I'm just not strong enough to delay the inevitable and finished the book in less than 24 hours, *sigh, I know.

Overview:
Embrace Your fate
It's time.
Evil is running rampant, and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna's great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she's prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom. (From Barnes and Noble)

So where to start????? Well I guess lets just get the most important part out of the way...
Kaidan Rowe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who I will admit is my favorite book hottie (other than Daemon Black) but not going on that hot alien tangent for a few more months hehe. Although there was definitely a small little shout out to said hot alien books in this. So back to the point. The smoking hot drummer is back and more adorable than ever. At the end of Sweet Peril (Book 2) Anna Whitt and Kaidan finally decide what to do about their growing love for each other. I don't want to give it all away in case you are new to the series but lets just say I was one happy person at the end of the that book. In Sweet Reckoning we see a completely different side of Kai. He is no longer the brooding secretive neph avoiding his feelings that we originally saw throughout the first 2 books, now he is very forward with his feelings for Anna and will let nothing stop him from being with her. Even if it means Taking down his own demon father and the other 11 Dukes (The demons of the 7 deadly sins plus a few more. All who fell from heaven to wreak havoc on the earth) For the son of the demon of lust, Kai puts his natural instincts aside and we see just how caring and kind the real Kaidan is and how love can change a person for the better. *We are talking totally swoon worthy stuff here ya'll.

In this last book we find everyone's favorite neph teaming up again to bring down their big bad daddy demons. And some familiar humans pitching in to help along the way as well. While Anna can't stay with her best friend Jay and adoptive mother Patti any more, they still play a huge roll in her life and do everything they can to help possibly defeat the dukes.

This book definitely throws a few curve balls at you. But I have to say that as shocked as a couple in particular left me, they added depth to the plot and made everything everyone was working for worth so much more. And ok let me just say one thing, there is a particular part in this book that had me going crazy. And not mad crazy or anything like that. Crazy in the sense that I have been wondering since half way through book 2 why know one thought of this particular moment sooner. I am telling you I thought about this the minute this whole "Anna has to use the sword of righteousness to take down the dukes by staying pure and righteous herself blah blah blah" if I had things my way this great big problem would have been fixed by the end of book 2. but this folks is why I am not the author here. Suspense? Ha I laugh at suspense, my way would be everyone getting to the point the minute it popped into my head.

I have to say this was an absolutely stellar way to end a series, and as happy as I am to finally have all the answers I'm also extremely sad to see the story go. I feel like I have been a part of the nephs trials and tribulations as much as they have and I will miss all the things that happen in the amazing world Wendy Higgins so beautifully created. As with anything the end must come and I am happy to say that I am so thankful to Wendy for writing such an amazing story and having the guts to publish it.

Goodbye Kai and Anna your story has been one of Sweet Awesomeness.

I actually got my book a few days early and this was me right after getting my hands on it. Thank goodness for a book store that released it early. hehe

And if you haven't started the series I highly encourage you to. It is amazing and you will fall in love from the very first chapter.

Alienated By: Melissa Landers

Hey everyone. So I am hopefully officially back in the blogging ring.
The past few months have been extremely stressful and crazy. Over fall I was in the process of getting settled in after my move this summer from Florida to Georgia. I left my dream college because they no longer offered the means for me to get into the profession I wanted, and it really did effect me in the long run. I was not only looking for a new school, but also considering a change in majors that would have been on a completely different path from the one I was already on, I was just finishing my sophomore year and a major change at that time would have set me back at the least a year of classes. So I decided to take the fall semester off to get my head together allowing me a lot of free time to blog and what not. Once the holidays started though it was a whole different ball game and with the addition of starting classes again until sadly the blog wasn't a top priority. But I am here to say that with the end of the semester approaching in a month I have a bit of free time at least until finals roll around (Kill me now lol) So I am officially all yours In Betweeners.

So lets get this darn thing going hehe

Overview:
Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.
Handpicked to host the first-ever L'eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she'll have inside information about the mysterious L'eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara's blog following is about to skyrocket.
Still, Cara isn't sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L'eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn't seem more alien. She's certain about one thing though: no human boy is this good-looking.
But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.
Cara finds support in the last person she expected. She realizes that Aelyx isn't just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. But Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and its potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in for the fight of her life-not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet. (From Barns and Noble)

So let me just tell you, for the past month I have been on a huge alien/space kick. Please don't ask why because seriously I have no idea. Other then the occasional hot Luxen I really am not a huge SiFi junkie, but something just spoke to me. Most likely that gorgeous cover. Because lets all admit it, a good cover is like a guy that smells extremely good. They might only be a 3 star just by looking at what their about that but then you get a whiff and BAM! Their now a 5 lol. Ok maybe not the exact thing but pretty close.
Also that new show on CW Starcrossed started the week I read this book, so it was just an alienpalooza for me pretty much. (If you haven't watched the show, you need to. Were talking Vampire Diaries in a hot alien form lol)

So, I adore Cara. She is smart, funny, a little shy and I totally relate to her. When she finds out she is going to get to participate an alien exchange program she has mixed feelings. Getting to host an alien exchange student has to by far be one of the most amazing things you could do right? Not to mention the advantage blogging about the experience would have to push the already debate team captain and valedictorian to the top of the college acceptance list. Becoming an alien exchange student in return has to be an exciting experience as well right? Cara isn't so sure about any of it. Who really wants to live with an alien in the bedroom next to theirs, even if they are the reason your mother is still alive.

Aelyx is the epitome of hot alien and he dose not want to be on earth with a bunch of non-evolved humans. His species has already helped by giving the cancer cure to the humans, and an alliance between the two species seems to be one of the dumbest things possible, even coming from the super intelligent L'eihr leaders. At least that was what he thought before meeting Cara.
Can she change his opinion of humans before its too late? Or will his secret mission ruin everything like he originally wanted?

Alienated takes us on a wild ride, told in dual POV between Cara and Aelyx as they uncover secrets neither of them could have imagined, and try to avoid the murderous mob of once friends and neighbors that not only wants Aelyx dead, but Cara and her family for hosting him. The more time that passes the closer Aelyx and Cara grow, and the more hostile the town becomes.

I loved the chemistry in this book. Its subtle for a majority of the story and really allows you to see what draws Cara and Aelyx together. But what would a book be without drama. Cara's boyfriend and best friend aren't supportive of her new house guest, and Aelyx's L'eihr friends aren't exactly thrilled hes growing close to a human. You will be shocked to see what side everyone chooses when the time comes. With deception running rampant from everyone will the two be able to overcome the building secrets before they destroy them all, or save both of their races before time runs out?

Lander's does an incredible job of bringing the pages of the book to life. A world where L'eihr's exist is one of true creativity and is executed so well that you wouldn't be surprised if the news announced tomorrow the landing of the next round of alien exchange students.

Be sure to also look for Invaded, the sequel to Alienated scheduled to release next February.
